Back in the day, we shopped in a place called Hi Fi Centre. It was in Stereo Row, as they called it. Named after Saville Row, it was home to stalwarts such A&B Sound, Sam the Record Man (very British, 1960's), and of course our very own Hi Fi Centre, the high-end of the bunch.
Tim and Frankie told us of a guy who used to walk along the street wearing Stax Lamba (very Lambda, Lambda, Lambda) headhones - this was long before they had portables.
Now enter Shure, and their KSE1500 Electrostatic Earphone System.
Is this As Good as It Gets?
Or is it more Japanese, and Lost in Translation? "The Suntory of Shine?"
