Easy to Topple: The Gamut RS3i Loudspeaker Review: Easy to Topple

When Prince Albert's ancestor, Francesco, got to Monaco, upon the rock, he thought: "How Nice!" ...

Gamut Superior RS3i

"Easy to Topple."

Made for the Porsche Auto Car enthusiast, see Top Gear, the Gamut RS3i Bookshelf Loudspeaker ($19,990.00 USD) has a rather tight, taught loudspeaker response of 34 Hz to 60 kHz.

It's for the Apple or Photography enthusiast, also. (Reference: Wide Gamut).

That's quite a bit more than a B&W diamond tweeter. It's just the right tweeter. A ring-radiator so-call, they call it. With 60,000 Hz, or 60 kHz, you'd think that it's a new version. Scan speak. Yes!

It's quite a bit short, the loudspeaker. Not how the tweeter points up, so the sound can reach the ear.

The mid-range driver is just right.

GamuT mid range.

As for width, it's rather narrow. Easy to topple. Look at the stand.

[Not good for stability. Not good for sound.]

As for the driver cover, it's all right for protecting the drivers, but not for not affecting the sound.

The beams, though are quite nice. Like parallel bars.

The "screen" itself, though, not quite Sonus Faber. What's wrong with a cloth cover? [Not good for sound also, ok.]

There's something note quite right about it's covering. It can be removed.

Ah, it resembles a temporary bed. The name thankfully escapes us [bunk].

It's for a military fetishist at heart.

Looking at the front. We think how nice, looking at the different pieces of wood. It could be the front of a Harbreth 40.1.

How nice, the logo, "GamuT.' Note the Capital T.

We like how the sides have slices, cut in, rather than raised.

Looking at the stand, we think, how nice. That could be the start of a loudspeaker.

As for comparison, or category, there really isn't any.

One could consider, The Kiss Standmount Loudspeaker ($ USD) by Vienna Acoustics, on virtue of it's integrated stand as a comparitor.

One could consider, The Grimm Audio LS1 Be Loudspeaker ($ USD), 30 Hz to 20 kHz, by virtue of the Grimaldi Dynasty by reference to PA.

Ah, personal affection.

It's easy to fall for such a taut little speaker.
