Sony MDR-E484 In Ear Headphones Review

The Sony MDR-E484 In Ear Headphones ($100.00 USD) are phone-ly+ performing audio headphones.

With either the Sony Discman D-55 or Sony Sports Walkman WM-B52 the sound would distort and obviously there was no bass. You may find you disagree with this assessment. Some blame may be had to the headphone amplifier sections of the D-55 and B52, and upgrading to the D555 Discman did improve the sound further. The D5 and D50 were interesting models but really they continued the 1980's aesthetic a little further to no avail.

It is interesting that the category of premium in-ear headphones did not really exist prior to this model introduction. Although not looking like much, it included diamond diaphragms for it's in-ear drivers.

You may find at present speakers from B&W employing this same, as well as professional products from Sony, technology.

The present price is $1,495.00 USD and one needed previously to arrange for a order from Sony to obtain this product locally.

+When we say phone-ly we are referring to the sound being about the same audio quality of a Ma Bell rental home phone.
