Unless you've read the script, watching Interstellar ($165M) in the theater (Scotiabank Theatre, a Cineplex Odeon, Dolby Atmos, UltraAVX room) is not a pleasurable experience as watching it, in your home. In the theater case, the music over-powers the dialogue, is loud and distorted, and progressively, annoying.
For this experience, we used the Monitor Audio Gold MA-1800 Loudspeakers in a theater configuration. If you were doing this today, this would be not enough. You'd want the Monitor Audio Platinum PL-300 Loudspeakers as your front-pair, although the Monitor Audio Silver System (MASS) would very well do.
You'll find that theatre in the home can be a pleasant and enjoyable experience.
I'd like to say that we thoroughly enjoyed the performance.
