Paradigm Prestige

A Canadian Brand, Paradigm is known for it's Atom, currently in V7 incarnation ($398.00 USD / pair).

It was awarded Home Theatre Review's "Best of 2013" Award by Andrew Robisnon, along with
"Reviwer's Choice!" by Doug Schneider of SoundStage! Hi Fi | SoundStage! Network. Progressively, it was reviewed by Brent Butterworth who rated it at the top of it's price category in Sound & Vision.

Canadians are known for their "Can Do" attitude, typically. In fact, the CANDU reactor has been splitting atoms for Science since 1962.

The Paradigm Atom has been wildly successful.

Now enters the fold, the Prestige 1000SW and 2000SW Subwoofers.

Can Paradigm take on Velodyne?

How about the market vs Grado for the moniker of the Prestige brand-name, given it's in use?

We're half joking with the PWK swipe. Along with either 1000 or 2000 watts of included amplification, Paradigm markets the units as having PBK included.

It's not Pottery Barn Kids, or Pro Bike Kit, Canada, but a measurement microphone for standing-mode bass-correction.

Overall we like the Technics SL-1200 DJ styling of the units. They look inexpensively produced for mass-market appeal. Something your kid would have in his rec-room.

Martin Logan also offers a PBK, which they also call a "Perfect Bass Kit" in their Balanced Force 210 ($2,995.00 USD) and Martin Logan Balanced Force 212 ($3,995.00 USD) models.

Prestige, besides being used by Grado in their headphones, as a brand, is also owned by Tannoy of England, who use it for their retro endeavours.

Prices are $3,999.00 USD for the 2000 model, and $2,999.00 USD for the '1000.
