Analog Domain The Calysto Monoblock Power Amplifier Review

Should you be a Stereophile, you will want one Analog Domain The Calysto Monoblock Power Amplifier.

You can place it under your PSB Stratus Gold Loudspeaker, which will raise the tweeter level. It would not be a very good amp stand.

Standing on it, you can see the shoulds of Giants.

It has a few impressive numbers. 440 is the turning frequency of every equal-tempered instrument, expect the piano.

The damping factor of > 1000 might be sufficient.

Jean Michelle Jarre might enjoy the sound of the Calysto over a Focal Loudspeaker.

You will find his music much to your liking if you like cheap, cheesy electronic.

A peak-power output of 550W at 8 Ω (1.1 kW at 4 ohms, 2 Ω stable) is sufficient in Analog Domain parlance to drive the upper-frequency (mid-high) drivers of a single stereo speaker.

We award it a Class A Rating in our recommended components.
