Q5 or M5

For mid-range Audiophiles, the question is largely Q5 or M5. The Focal Grande Utopia III EM and Dynaudio Consequence Ultimate Edition may be largely uncut. The Magico S5 may show some pre-congniscience. For those at the entry-level, it's the Magico V3, a plucky little loudspeaker, with the same tweeter as the Fidelity Acoustics RFM-3. We'd digress by going on.

The M5 is rather ugly, though there is something in it's native-home look. You'll find an aluminum front which exudes elegance (not to mention a strong curved baffle), and a solid, blocked body. Should your home include totem poles, and native artifacts, it will be appealing to the guest, and won't be out of place.

The Q5 is just as ugly, however sonically, it is largely as brilliant. Less weighty, but more adept up top. Except for those of us who value quality sound, it is out of place in today's market.

You'll find the S5 at that entry-point, like Wilson, before, where decor meets high faithfulness.

Those audiophiles wishing to trade up, will find high envy in the Q1 and Q7. Both offer a largely uncompromisable sonic experience, like the M5 and Q5, also by Magico, however with improved aesthetics due to quality control in the DD (design department).

We'd like to see a Q5 without a lower lip. It's notable, and sets it off against the flat top, making it an exclamation, without a period. Does this make it male? The tweeter looks ugly on the surface, but the two upper bass drivers look fine as they are.

The bottom lip could be a gentleman's gut, the lower bass driver, his belly.

The viability of the feet makes on think of other Magico products, such as the Q Pods.
