We don't like the look of the AudioEngine B1 from the front: it seems to be giving us the finger. It's faceplate seems to have something missing. Perhaps the logo can be moved, and the pairing light made less prominent, since it reminds us of the lost light on our FiiO Olympus in addition to saying that people should be paired.
At the back, however, nothing seems to be wrong. The Toslink protector plug is a bit lop-sided, and cheaply made, but that is re-assuring. The 5V DC In connector looks cute and nice. And then there is the apt x logo. Nice. It could stand for aptitude or apartment. Nice.
