Calvin Ayre is one of our favourite guys. At one time, before retiring, he was on the cover of Forbes magazine.(2006).
He's not the type of guy you think of buying Oppo. More, Ayre's reference-series (R) or something.
The Oppo HA-1 is one of our favourite hi-fi / low-fi components. In every way besides physical user-interface (knobs, switches, and connectors) and case aesthetics, it is flawless. The user-interface and panel display (front) is peerless, while the connection options and use options are exactly what you would wish for - not common at all on hi-fi systems and boxes.
