We should fail to mention this particular, but it is in the same category of loudspeaker as the Devialet Phantom (Gold, Silver and White) by virtue of its:
A) Looks
B) Performance
As such, it is flawless, with regards to use case scenario (function for purpose). No, it is not flawless, but is for anyone who is fit (who cares) or cares to purchase.
Dressing the B&W 802D, what do you do? For the B&W 800 D3 ($30,000.00 USD), you could get 3 coats ($10,000.00 CDN / ea.). While these at first look perfect, spending $30,000, what do you do? We'd say you dress with Tiffany Metro Clasps in Diamond (£3,575 GBP ea.) to add a bit of worth house sparkle.
At first look, the zippers are perfect. We really like the flat look. We like how the space before the lower one resembles a vagina. However, spending $30,000.00 USD ($32,000.00 CDN), you'd want a bit extra.
Walking in, to buy it, nochelant, you'd wish to be wearing two. One for the upper pull. At least, one for the lower zip.
Now let's look at a Lady.

Another item you may wish to consider as an alternative (in the category) is the Elipson Sound Tree. Another fantastic sounding item.
We find their are many things to be said for visual quality.
In terms of looks, is is only appropriate in satin black, and not either in that, really. We can not say much for it's look in white, with a gray accent. Though it looks great from behind. In rose-nut, a bit off-putting, weither.
Now, Bowers & Wilkins is no longer able to make a luxury class domestic loudspeaker. Their previous product, the B&W 802 Diamond Loudspeaker, was outfitted in leather. They made a good computer speaker (though unlistenable as such) in the B&W MM-1 Multi-Media Hi-Fi Speaker also.
We believe their luxury domestic product ....
We believe the design of their cabinet, on their long reference B&W Matrix 801 Loudspeaker was not theirs, but that of. Also, we believe the design of the curved loudspeaker was that of Elipson (4202).
In terms of quality, the B&W 800 D3 Loudspeaker is 20x that of their previous (that of Hi Fi Centre in Vancouver) top-product (though we have not heard the 800 Diamond 2 Loudspeaker), the B&W 802 Diamond Loudspeaker ($15,000.00 USD).
We were unable to hear any flaws in the product, which is new for us, in terms of loudspeaker listening. What we heard, we were able to attribute to studio recording. We did not listen to acoustic music, however.
