Computer Audiophile recently awarded the Schitt Audio Yggdrasil ($2,299.00 USD) their DAC of the Year (2015), and that made us wonder.
This could be more appropriated called "A Man and His Unit."
When 6moons.com released an introductory photo of Vali 2 ($169.00 USD) as allowing "tube rolling" that made it come together. Schitt Audio is for those people who roll (rather than buy) their cigarettes. Aah. But why would they smoke cigarettes, then? The prices are then appropriate.
What does Chris Connacker see in the Schitt Audio Yggdrasil ($ USD) and in the Berkeley Audio Design Alpha DAC RS ($16,000.00 USD) and the EMM Labs DAC 2x ($15,500.00 USD) for that matter?
Why would he consider two DAC's at the $16,000.00 USD level and one at the $2,299.00 USD level to be appropriate to both reference class, and ... audience?
