As we all know, the lipstick index is one form or factor (or metric) for tracking the overall economy.
What would be a good metric for the audiophile?
Typically, it would be the cable. Say, the RCA interconnect from the CD player to the Pre-Amp. Some high quality of item of reasonably high price.
Previously, the Focal Grande Utopia III EM Loudspeaker ($180,000.00 USD / pair) we regarded as the best of the best, in current production.
