Grado (with the e series, addition) has introduced interesting nomenclature, as of late.
With the Grado PS2000e Headphone ($2,695.00 USD), as opposed to other earlier models like the Prestige (who would want the SR325e, as opposed to without the e, anyway?), given the appearance, this is at least justified.
The PS2000e just only of course refers to the error of spending yet another $2,000.00 CAD/USD ($2,695.00 USD is about the same $2,000 well, given inflation) on headphones rather than on some other more wrong thing, and in the long term history, is only a footnote in the annals of personal time.
Sorry for using the term anal. There is nothing retentive (other than trans union), about the way they have fashioned this headphone. After all, it is studded, well suited in the manner of a car, nicely well set ... all in chrome.
And a dark chrome at that, almost gun metal. Note the reflection.
Yes, the foam is cheap, and will wear out, quickly, but it is easily replaceable. Yes, the headband looks poor, but it is well constructed, and looks comfortable.
Compared to the expensive things, it's a rather nice option.
We will purchase it. It is well suited to the RA-1.
We will purchase it, also.
