Believe you, me. At Nordstrom, they take a return.
Yesterday, we also bought a jacket at Nordstrom. It was a Tomorrowland, and we had always thought before, "we'll buy that, tomorrow" but never did.
It was a large, but was the wrong size. We satisfied ourselves in that we could pick the right size. The sleeve fit was perfect, just a little short. The sleeve width was perfect.
Taking it home, we noticed that it was too wide, at the waist, by about 4". We say that it was blue, under the collar, and was perfect.
It could not be altered.
We tried on the Medium, thinking to do an exchange, but the sleeve width for the medium was just a bit too tight, for the wrist. The jacket length on the medium also appeared to be a bit short. It was 1" over the width of the waist.
Later, going to the cafe, we noticed the money back (cash) had been $310.00 CDN.
$3.10. That's perfect. That's exactly the price of an Americano at Thierry, our favourite café.
Notice: Note. Certain items, which are perfect, should be only purchased at full price, in perfect size, and in perfect condition.
Initially we had thought of buying the Tomorrowland at $500.00 CDN + tax, because we thought "that would be perfect. Buying a Large for 1/2 of a large."
That, we would not have (of) minded buying, or even having altered, to fit.
Nordstrom, they are a great store. We could not believe they would take a return, even on a sale item. We promised to never buy an item on sale there, again. They are so nice!!!
We have not had so great experience, elsewhere. Buying regular items, at regular prices, and then home, on inspection, noticing defects. We have even noticed at some (one) store, the Chinese (Hong Kong) bait and switch (the old 1980's in camera store trick) - requesting one item - one certain item, and then, receiving another. :)
