With the PS Stratus Gold Loudspeakers, the ADCOM GFA-555II is capable of playing electric bass, adequately well, but not an acoustic instrument like a saxophone or a trumpet, let alone a piano. It is questionable whether any power amplifier is capable of reproducing the tone and sound of a piano.
Would the PS Audio 200C Power Amplifier?
The PS Audio 200C Power Amplifier ($1,649.00 USD) is reputed to being better than the GFA-555, only shy of the Rowland Research 7, yet better than the reference trinity of power amplifiers, most notably Krell, Mark Levinson and Threshold.
In no small feat, it is capable of amplification for the B&W Matrix 801F Loudspeaker,
