Gillette makes one of the world's best razors (well, not fancy), the Gillette Fusion Power.
As a Razor, it is perfectly complete. Now that it is nearing the end of production (you can find a few here), we tried the Gillette Fusion Proglide Power Razor (with Flex Ball ) as temporary measure.
First, why would it have a Flex Ball? Is it a Yoga Ball, for splicing?
You want a Razor that goes straight on your face. Why would you want any twisting, and turning? You want to control it.
Although non-attractive (though reasonable), it comes in attractive packaging.
As for marketing, it is completely perfect. We you think ProGlide, you think of hockey and of ice. It is manly.
The back of case is stunning, in design.
Instead of the wonderful Lamborghini orange of the Gillette Fusion Power, which we most admire, it comes with a grey and very shortened stand.
For musical lovers, you will note that it's a guitar motif (acoustic, country and western, or nay Flamenco style) - that of a guitar case.
The inner side of the back package is absolutely stunning - a fabric herringbone pattern.
It even includes a serial number.
Gillette's product packaging department has done a wonderful job.
Now we much prefer the previous razor, with an equal number of blades, and the same Fusion Power technology.
We will do our best to obtain four (4) as we noted that the life-span of this wonderful Gilette product was 10-years. That's 1/2 of Bryston, by for a consumer product, my, oh my.
As we are only in our 40's (44), 4 seems a silly number. That would only get us to 80. What about the rest? How about 8?
Ah, 440 and 88, these are truly wonderful numbers.
Gillette makes wonderful consumer products.
