Ok, let's say you are Justin Trudeau, and you want to be Prime Minister.
Just like the Oppo HA-1's Headphone Amplifier / DAC ($1,199.00 USD) specifications, your policies won't do much for Canada, but you would like some comfort.
Say that you don't like the Stax. You want something that is Canadian, or at least North American in constitutional nature. Otherwise, we would recommend the Stax 007t Tube Headphone Amplifier, the iFi iDSD Micro DAC and Headphone Amplifier, with the Stax 007 Electrostatic Earspeakers.
Quite conservatively, is there anything wrong with 120 dB?
It's 16-bit sound. Remember the Amiga, the 16-bit Personal Computer from Japan? It had 8-bit sound.
6-bit volume control. That was amazing. A DAC like the DCS Elgar using a Ring-DAC uses only 5-bits for 24. Wowzers.
The whole point of a headphone like the Oppo PM-1 ($ USD) is comfort. Just like Canadian women choose Justin Trudeau for his ease on the eyes over conservative stalwart (and Justin Bieber impersonator...) Stephen Harper, sound enthusiasts with a love for Ultrasone of Germany choose the Oppo HA-1 / PM-1 combo over Audeze for Planar Technology.
Not only that, but you get great e-Paper too.
Throw that in your Kindle.
