Hegel Super DAC Review

What is the sound of -140 dB?

The Noise Floor is a studio on Gabriola Island.

THE NOISE FLOOR RECORDING STUDIO
Our last not purchased choice headphone, the Hi Fi Man HE-500 lived on Grabrioa - at a recording studio.

This headphone gives excellent bass.
The noise floor of a Shure SM58 (at room temperature) is 0.00000032 volts.

The Earthworks QTC-1 MP ($ USD) our previous studio reference, while it takes 140 dB - for kick drum, for example - as max. acoustic input, has a large self-noise, we found at 20 dB, A-weighted.

Yes, A cups are popular in Japan.

The Hi Fi Man HE-300 (not quite as attractive in colour as the HE-500) turn us into a bit of a Princess Lea, in terms of cups.

To get more bass, the move to the .. turns us into a bit of a Imperial Storm Trooper (well TIE pilot) piloting a Tie Advanced X1. In other words, a bit of a Darth Vader.
