The ideal Chinese cleaver we'd say would be which ever one was used by Iron Chef Chen Kenichi.
That said, a pair of Shun Classic Vegetable Cleaver ($288.00 USD) is too light (meat cleaver: ideal weight), but acceptable.
A Michael Bras ($730.00) Double Length via Williams-Sonoma is better.
Most cleavers are too short (the ideal minumum length is 220 cm) and Chinese handles are a bit funny.
