$60.00 CDN was too much for a wallet, we felt as we bought the Roots Men's Slimfold Side Flap Prince ($68.00 CDN) on Robson at Roots, Vancouver, Canada.
We did not like the stiching, nor the rough cow-hide finish as we bought it to replace a previous Roots Leather smooth ($40.00 CDN) wallet of darker colour. That wallet had $700.00 CDN in 50's in it.
Now $60.00 CDN is a lot to pay for a wallet. We noted the Green Micro-Pack Logo inside, but did not like it.
That original Roots wallet had been returned, naturally, without the cash.
Now, it's nice to have a little money inside a wallet. We have smaller bills in Canada, but we've tested it with $10,000.00 CDN (100 bills) in CDN 100's in the back-flap (it's bi-fold), 1000 in CDN 100's in the "mid-flap" (created) and 1000 in CDN 50's and 1000 in CDN 20's also in the mid-flap.
The front (non-created) flap, we've tested up to about $700.00-900.00 CDN in CDN 20's.
As such, we've become satisfied with the green logo (Micro-Pack) inside.
About 8 inches of it (CDN 20's, plastic) feels nice to hold.
You won't fit a lot of Canadian cash in a wallet, but with a Cash Drawer, you will find these nice 3" compartments which you can side-fill and pack, so that even with 20's.
The Roots Canadian wallet is an amazing purchase. You would be more satisfied with a $60.00 Polo wallet in Thailand, but we can't knock this affable Canadian special.
We've literally put our original Roots Canadian wallet, "through the wash..," and it's come out "thin, fine and amazing."
As for "The Prince," its not only an amazing Novel but if you follow our purogatory, you'll truly shape the Roots Men's Slimfold Prince ($68.00 CDN) Wallet into something truly special.
All's told.
This wallet would look truly finer with Canadian 1000's and $40K's if one wishes to shop.
