Shun Premier Bread Knife 9" Review

bar3

Let's cut the chase.

Not being set with Brandy, we picked up our Shun Premier (9 inch'er) Bread Knife ($230.00 CAD, $ USD) at Oakridge.

Oakridge is a wonderfully fine mall, in Vancouver, Vancouver, home to a wonderful clock. Our purveyor was of course, Crate and Barrel.

... our sales associate woefully dismissed the Schmidt Brothers and their rather fine knives.*

* Here in Vancouver, you can get a set of four (4) Schmidt Bros Steak knives for $200.00 CDN, whereas a Shun 4-set Permier is $749.00 CDN.

Later we discussed the object at Tiffany, Vancouver (Alberni Street) while examining rings and necklaces with Michelle. We mentioned how of all the Shun Premier series it was the one that most resembled the male member.

We were lucky to meet another Tiffany, at David Yurman via Holt Renfrew, earlier. A lovely lass. We also met our friend David (nay Yurman) at Gucci Vancouver, a lovely chap. His Taiwanese model girlfriend Ariel (nay Sharome, yet Little Mermaid), is a wonder to beheld.

How it was curved at the end, as opposed to a 9" slicer, or Chef's Knife. Earlier you'll note we noted that it resembled a whale: a sperm whale or a killer, but not a blue.

In terms of quality, it's not a Shun Blue, nor is it, in terms of bread knives, the Shun Reserve.

We affectionately refer to it as the S.P.B.K. for Shun Premier Bread Knife, yes, but also for Special Polish Ballistic(s) Kit. +
We asked the wife of our erstwhile reviewer, JR, Dr., affectionately if she thought it could wet a baguette.

She prepared a ... on here Miele.

+ You'll note that the Polish Veterans Association is S.P.K.  or Stowarzyszenie Polskick Kombatanow, which is very Spetznas menacing-cool sounding.

Now, speaking of Mo Poland, we should talk of our ballet instructor, Merak. He prepared a stew with a Polish Sausage. You may be familiar with the Merak line of amplifiers, a fine particular.

For those in the know, 9" is the minimum Male Member (MM) size to get you in the "Big Boys Club." That is, while a petite lady would prefer a 10" or 11, maybe a 12+, she would be willing to take a '9.

Let's talk of Moving Magnets (MM) now courtesy of our friend, Murray McMacheon.
