History

In our past, we've often criticized composite material combination in loudspeakers. Here, you can see the construction methods, more advanced, yet similar to those of home loudspeakers.

History offers a realm of advances, but also some blasts from the past, also.

You will, for example, see a more advanced all-wood cabinet structure in the Bowers & Wilkins Matrix 800 series 3 than you will, for example, the B&W Nautilus series in terms of internal bracing.

You will see modern, wonderful, fantastic loudspeakers like the Grande Focal use an all-wood construction.

While the Horten Reproduction is no Spruce Goose (it will not fly), it is nice to see a relatively well (non-complete) constructed item in non-romantic terms. That is, away from the Hi Fi Manfucaturing romance marketing you will see in the following videos...

Note that how similarly the ... looks like a subwoofer basket mounting, and how closely the plane's center section looks rather just like a loudspeaker.

It would be wonderful to put such an advanced manufacturer to use in the prototyping of home audio developments.

Note the portrayal of ... designers of the U2 Bomber.
To see competent men is such a sincere great pleasure.
