Now it is silly that for $500 ($570.00 USD / SRP $626.00 USD, Whetstone $285.00 USD / SRP $330.00 USD) you will only be cutting $200.00 watermelons. The Japanese make them, and thus the Japanese make a shorter, 1/2 length blade.

It would be better value to pay $1000.00 USD for your cleaver, and cut $5 watermelon.
