The Denon PMA-50 Integrated Amplifier Review

Denon PMA-50 Integrated Amp

The Denon PMA-50 ($599.00 USD) is not a bad amp. Other than the size and the shape of it's hole, there is not a thing we don't like. We could conceive of it on a desk. It's a little too close to the right edge, we would say. In looks, with the exception of this, it is about perfect.

It may drive the Wilson Sasha Series-2 Loudspeaker (min 20 watts), should you be so endeavored. Ah, you could conceive of it as a headphone remote, with a pair of Aedele VK-1 Valkries, should you have a pair of B&W 802 D3's ($22,000.00 USD).

Sometimes a small amp like this is the first product you buy, should you have a very big audio shelf. You know you are headed somewhere and you just want to get started. Vade Forrester of The Absolute Sound describes it as "The First Rung on the Ladder."
