Resonance Labs Herus Plus Review

The Resonance Labs Herus Plus ($450.00 USD) is a poorly made, aptly performing product. This is like all other products by Resonance Labs. They lack the last degree of sophistication, or the first if you will have it. Kelowna, BC is home to some fine wine, and they can continue the pioneer spirit. It does not have the DSD DXD labeling in person despite the stock photo. It was (at 120 mW) able to supply the Shure SRH-1540 Headphones ($499.00 USD) if the ear-cups were pressed firmly to the ear. This was in competition with the JDS Labs The Element ($349.00 USD) at 1 watt. You may find other headphones equally inviting.

We do not find the Herus Plus "full sounding," unlike the AudioQuest Dragonfly. It does provide similar power to both it, and the Coffee. Concerto HP and HD combined would be the more natural comparison to the Calynx Cofee ($199.00 USD).

Resonance Labs makes some other fine performing products. The Invicta, and the Invicta Mirus in particular. We can not say we do not like the Concerto HP or Concerto HD but they should be purchased as a pair.

In summary judgement, the Resonance Labs Herus Plus looks fine in person. If placed on the desk, it has a good hole.

Instead it looks more like this:

We do not particularly like the logo.
