In British, prat is an incompetent, stupid, or foolish person; an idiot. It's also a person's buttocks. In other words, daft.
Now in hifi terms, PRAT is Pace, Rhythm and Timing. Many Hi Fi afficiandos (read: hobbyists) were likely describes as prats by their less endearing counterparts, and hence the terminology.
In Hi Fi circles,
We'll take Element Acoustics opinion, and allow the Buron Audio HA-160D to be described as "smooth, warm" with excellent "P.R.A.T."
