Coming Home

For Pat Metheny, Letter from Home was one of his best albums. Song X was also good. We can't say that we found any of his work, musical, otherwise. He was aided by Charlie Hayden. What was the big deal? Why did people like him? Especially live...

As we could see, he would choose to be happy in his playing, when others would go blues. So what?

Here is our brief (when CD was available) discography.

1. Pat Metheny / Ornette Coleman Song X
2. Pat Metheny - New Chautauqua
3. Pat Metheny w/Dave Holland & Roy Haynes - Question and Answer
4. Pat Metheny Group - Letter From Home
5. Path Metheny - Secret Story
6. Pat Metheny - We Live Here
7. John Scofield & Pat Metheny - I Can See Your House From Here

As our CD - it's a shame we stopped at 7 - drawer only held 300.

Take a look at his "Have You Heard" concert. What a pathetic group of loosers. Except the Afro Cuban percussionist. His improvisation is somewhat (PM) fine, but what a terrible composition. Who is he, Beetlejuice? That's no Kamel Gekic. He has no individual muscle control. Low music, no song.

We'll call him a Tone Inbryn of the stage. Tone. One can say that's what he has. No more. No less. Tone.
