Rega Research DAC-R D/A Processor

Let's talk about the Rega Reserarch DAC-R D/A Processor ($1,095.00 USD).

Should you have one of those TV cabinets with the back glass in front of it, and some of those flat TV speakers, it might be worth getting one of these.

Is it worth posting a photo of this, however? It's a 24/192 kHz DA converter in 2015.

The case top is nice. Kinda reminds us of the ... however. Why would one make a 24/192 DA convert in 2015?

Could you ask for a more cheaply made DA than this Rega Research DAC-RDA?

Look at the screen printing on the front. It's almost as if there is bleed-in. How about the LED's? Do they actually shine through? What about those squared off, rounded buttons? How about the RCA on the back? The Toslink? The SPDIF?

The USB is USB.

The fuse is all-right, as is the power-in.

NOTE: The DAC is specified as 16-bit, 20-bit and 24-bit. 20-bit is professional. This signal to noise is good. There may be a problem with the bass, however. As specified the S/N is 100 Hz to 22 kHz bandwidth.
