Open Wood: The Grado GS1000e Headphone Online Review

The Brooklyn Clothing Company

How do you feel about Open Wood?

Nice mahogany tipped ... ear-pieces. Tiger would have your head. A nice inner chamber, reminiscent of a vacuum tube display. The red circle mimicking a heated element. oh my!

The Grado GS1000e ($999.00 USD) could benefit from a better ear-cup. let's make it.

You'll see the frequency response is 8 Hz to 35,000 kHz. That's 1/2 of a good bottom end (16 Hz) and 15 kHz above good top.

THE DRIVER MATCHING IS WITHIN 0.5 dB. Is the frequency response (unspecified) so good?

You'd find better value in the Grado Labs SR-325 (non e).

Should you be a Ham, and not a HAM Radio Operator, this headphone is about right. It's also right for aficionados of Gay Sex (GS), or Apple II fans, but what's with the e?

Great Service? So Hong Kong.

In Vancouver, the element (e) night club was an underground place young lads and lasses would come to play. You could be a DJ, there, playing with one of these.
