Buying Power

Sometimes as a shopper you make absolutely stupid decisions. Take the Zotak GEFORCE GT 730 ($99.00 CDN) video card. In the past, we would of called this a VGA card, for the same thing, but it's got different specifications.

Now, we had gone in to prudently purchase the Zotac GEFORCE 210 Synergy Edition ($47.00 CDN) at NCIX. The salesman convinced us to get the 730 GT ($99.00 CDN).

We didn't give a shit about waiting.

Had we gotten the 210, we would of written a glowing review. We had purchased our first non "Grey Box" PC, the HP Pavillion, and had been unable to install a dual VGA output in it. This was at London Drugs previously.

Can we recommend NCIX? When you go in somewhere knowing what you want and asking for that exact something, the salesman shouldn't look at something shitty on the shelf (not to be particular) and tell you to buy that instead. Suck luck. We wouldn't have gotten our Dell monitor there for fear it it suffering any warranty defect. No, then, we wouldn't.

Can we recommend London Drugs? Yes. They have absolutely fantastic service. In addition to selling some great sounding stereo equipment (Tannoy) along with great looking vintage retro (Klipsch Heressy III Loudspeaker), in a separate audio room, they also will take back your equipment (take for example, our dual VGA card, earlier) with no questions, should it not work for you.

In our case, the great card London Drugs was selling (dual VGA out) wouldn't fit in our HP Computer.

Now we don't have a problem with either Zotac card. The GEFORCE 210 Syergy Edition would of increased our total RAM (Random Access Memory) in the HP Pavillion to a lovely 4 GB. This is particularly good, because that is what a 32-bit Windows Operating System OS Version will allow.

They work and perform as labelled.

There's something particularly good about getting a purchase that just fits and feels so right.

This may be the case for females by way of competent male genitalia, and it may be the case for gay men and lab rats as well - well mice and hamsters.

We'll give our rats then (rants) to the salesmen who do not respond to a direct customer request. In our case, we never re-visit the establishment, even if it is an entire fast food chain, if the salesperson, say in Subway, does not give us what we order, but instead greys out the Pavilion.

You don't care what you get but you generally don't like to be lied to or have someone indirectly respond to your question or purchase order.

Can we rant more about Subway?

Your wish is our command.
