The B&W MM-1's are unbelievably beautiful. B&W takes their design from the Bose AM-5. There are two problems, however. One (1), they present unequal weight, and one must be powered by the other. This is unlike the KEF Q500, which includes power amplification in each unit. Two, because of the USB specification, they are not easily used in the upper-corners of the room. You could use a product like the iFI iUSB Power as as USB repeater however with multiple "wall-warts" it is not easily economically and aesthetically / cosmetically pleasing - very science fi.
You would be better off going with Merridian at this point.
