Score: Coming Soon
Just look at this graph (frequency response) by Doug Schneider of the
Paradigm Prestige 95F in the chamber. Visually, this response seems to be +/- 1 dB. We'll imagine the cut-of (not shown) below 50 Hz is due to Paradigm's 95(F) low-frequency roll-off characteristic.
The 95 is exciting. It brings us back to days of 95-100% marks on assignments and examinations.
Let's talk about scoring components, then. Why don't more loudspeakers exhibit this solid response?
The 50 Hz cut-off was typical of 12" pulp drivers, previously. Today, 7" drivers can achieve 35 Hz +/- 3 dB.
