Numbers

In audio, it's often the case that bigger is better.

In fidelity, too. Take the Shun Premier 5.5" Santoku - what's the point, if there's a 7" (we've got two)? Or the Shun Premier 6" Chef's Knife. What's the point, if there's a 8' and a 10, &c? (We've got them, of course. Who wouldn't, they're stunning).

Now for a mid-range driver, however, 5.5" to 6" is about ideal.

Sure you can have your 2" wide-bander bandied about, and multiplied ad-infinitum in a transmission line today. Or, say 15" er in an egg-shell display. We're talking the ....

For only $204.40 at Madisound, however, Scanspeak's 15M/4531K Revelator 5.5" is one amazing midrange driver. You'll get a better mid-range eating healthily, or carrying speakers, than designing them, though that could be a hair-thinning experience, should you like it.

Regardless the drivers by Scanspeak (Revelator) and SEAS (available via Madisound) are long regarded as audiophile favourites.

The web is about numbers, too. Cost per click. CPM.
