What you see in the product, you see in yourself. Look at ourselves. Too fat, with too little rim.
Such has us at HiFiArt thinking that the Spendor (read: spend gold) ST (remember the Atari ST, that interesting take on the Amiga 500), has a chance of sounding good enough to write about. Only the tweeter has us worried, but my the cabinet looks lovely, and quite a take on the high end, Spendor.
Splendour, indeed.
Cabinet drivers have rims of various dimensions. They allow for various dispersal and radiating patterns, not to mention depth - of throw.
Now the basket is what holds the radiator, and we have to be a basket case to mention it,
but the radiator is the driver.
That is, the driver radiates waves - of air.
And thus, sound.
Sound reasoning. Perhaps, not.
Electrostatic drivers give us prudence. Dynamic drivers give us potential.
Potential energy due to mass.
Witness, Beryllium.
The Spendor is closer (Be, 9.012182) to gold (Au, 196.97).
