Going from 8" to 12" is quite an experiment. We'd recommend the Tiffany Oval Link Bracelet ($6,000.00 USD) for this purpose. In our case, it was the Venetian Link in Sterling Silver. Solid experiment. Doing so on a driver results in increased bass.

With chains, you can pair them, and connect them. Even with gender neutral Tiffany bracelets and anklets. We'd say necklaces as well, as we've connected two Venetian's (one 24" + one 8") to drop a David Yurman Swiss Army.
Linkwitzes most popular Orion has been extended into two 12's here.
The hours from 8 to 12 (should you not be a broker) in an office can be hard, as well (not just an aluminum driver). AMC's Mad Men let's us relate to the working stiffs, though we most often encounter them at Harry Rosen.
Bruno (yay, Bruno) Cuchinelli carries men's jackets in the $6,000 range on up. We can't say that we like their tailoring, lines, or quality of the Cuchinelli, but they do provide quality of life to the region.
Just as John Hardy employes a village compound in Bali, so does BC in Italy.
We'd say with hand tailoring the quality of the work depends on the tailor, and so to with hand-made jewelry.
You may find John Hardy the man here in Vancouver rocking a 24K.
Time to talk about jewelry.
