BC Place

For those in the know, BC Place (the new) is somewhat of a cantina. That's fine for those that like it such.

Originally constructed (1983) for $126.1M CDN, and renovated (the roof) for $528M+ CDN, it is an example of maleficence on the public purse.

A poor home for the Whitecaps (Empire Field was better), and a poor home for the BC Lions (perhaps, likewise, though they might disagree), it places the fans of both in a poor post-game habitat for their revelry.

Image result for bc lionsWe like BC Place for it's original innovation. The inflatable roof. It could of been replaced with a new-specification of original material for a low cost, and the additional (non roof) renovation to the stadium did little to improve it's inner appearance. As a profit mechanism, it's a poor cost to the taxpayer, and a poor revenue (in game, for the tax-payer), mechanism, also.
