When You Leave the Fold

By all accounts we should be excited by these products by SuperHirez.

We're a fan of Sony, and there's nothing wrong with the HAP-Z1ES. We just don't like the look of the LCD size, and the button arrangement, but as a player, it's all there.


The Auralic Vega is a handsome product as well - we just don't like the look of it up close. It's solid and stable, and handles digital just fine.



The Chordette QuteHD / EX is solid and fine also - we just don't like the though of purchasing it, and using it however.



Likewise, the MyTek Stereo DSD DAC / Preamp. You can tell that it's all there, but there's something about it that strikes us as amatetur - likely the arrangement of lights that remind us of the classic Furman power conditioner unit, the PL-PLUSC, so we won't go near the thing. We'd rather take Manhattan.



Should you wish to play with or use audio, all of these should work just fine.
