Renderman was the technology behind the Pixar / Disney movies Toy Story. It was used to take a 3D image from vector matrix's (matrices), and produce a working film.
The X-PAC (not X-Men, another CGI-based movie), includes the X100 music player and X725 DAC / amp's by Aurender.
It's 2 x 230W @ 1% THD+N ratings suggest that it could power moderately controllable speakers such as the Magico S5. This would deliver a solid 22 Hz to 50 kHz frequency response performance. It comes with a good looking set of binding posts, similar to the Ayre MX-R, and similar to to the Ayre, it's cast in a cute form factor.
The X100 is available with up to 12 TB, which Aurender suggests is good for 10,000 CD's.
24/192 | 1411 DVD Audio Disks | [8.5 GB] |
DSD | 2553 SACD's | [4.7 GB] |
DSDx2 | 1276 Korg Discs | [9.4 GB] |
We'd say this is a good amount for the average audio collector. To us, we'd suggest that the DSDx2 format is unassailable, though others would suggest otherwise. [DSDx4, DSDx8].
