Back in 2008, Meridian made the 800 Reference DVD-Video, CD and DVD-Audio player. Back in 2000, they made the Reference 861 Digital Surround Decoder. They were the cream of the crop. Mark Levinson made the first digital processor with LCD, the No. 40 Media Console, which was interesting, but nothing to Meridian. Others like Lexicon, who were known for their high-end reverb processors processed the lower-end of the theater market with their MC-12, but Meridian still lead.
