Superior Pickup: The Gamut RS5 Loudspeaker

Throwing down the Gauntlet at Magico, Gamut claims it's RS5 is superiore - we certainly admire it's Sonus Faber styling. Gamut is not alone in producing a purposefully resonant loudspeaker.

Bosendorfer Audio has been in the game for a while, with it's BMW inspired Series 7, and less-expensive Venture Capital (VC) inspired series 1, 2, not to mention Wall and Center.

We have a Wall Centre ourselves, here in Vancouver, and it's styling is not that different from Gamut's RS5 loudspeaker, although it's a little more Armati Futura, like, you can clearly see the resemblance.

Now, why is our lead-line "Superior Pickup" for the Gamut? Isn't that resonantly something associated with phono? The Moving Coil (MC) and some Moving Magnet (MM) cartridge units, particularly? Say, Clear Audio? Are we "running the gamut" for our analogies here?

We'll, since we are talking about the Wall Center, shown above, we should mention that it wasn't designed to be so clear. Originally, it was designed to be clothed in black reflective glass, as used on the bottom portion and adjacent tower. We're going too far. Let's talk about Porsche.

The Gamut RS5 perhaps takes it's name from the Porsche RS3, and goes further. To afficianados, Porsche was known until recently for it
