Housechord

Should you want to invest in a good house-cord, the AudioQuest Mackenzie (XLR) isn't far off. ($139 USD). At least it has the stylings of a traditional lamp-cord, en suite du jour - in due jest. You'll pay about 10x the price of a competitively labeled product for the same performance, with additional limitations, due to hose composition, but you'll have something to look at for it. Such is the nature of the beast/

Audioquest Mackenzie

Also styling of a similar variety, and a good purchase pairing, mind you, is the Hi Fi Man HE560. What was wrong with the 500, we wonder? Does taking the 560 label from Sennheiser and retrofiting your styling to look cheap and tawdry like AKG Q701's headphone improve matters, in your book?

For someone that wants a headphone that looks as cheap and obscure as the Stax SR-3, this is it! [$1000, 1978]. Your GIC would of gone this far. Note: the angled ear-cable screw terminals, and the panty-liner design of the headband. HE560. $899 USD.
