Many of you would likely prefer, the TAD CR-1 for your house. For us at Hi Fi Art, we've selected the Teac S300 NEO Bookshelf Model in Cherry wood lacquer for our library office. We have to say that the proportion of the below photo is a bit out of whack. The proportions and arrangement of the equipment suggest a small child, and not an adult using the equipment, but such is the nature of staging.
The next step up on the near-field listening chain would be the KEF LS 50 ($1500 USD), which you could suitably power with the TEAC A-H01 ($499.00 USD), as with the TAD and Teac.
