From the back, the Hero appears to be a laboratory power supply, such as the DC Lab LP3003D Power Supply device. One of the things defining an amplifier is the power supply. Burson goes on about it with their headphone amplifiers, leaving out the capabilities of DAC circuitry.
From the side, we're reminded of a cross between our Quad 303 and 405 amplifiers. The 405 for the fins, and the 303 for the form. Our 405 was a bit of a hero - it died a hero's death of sorts, powering the music of Die Antwoord's "Enter the Ninja: DJ Fishsticks Remix" through a PSB Stratus Gold, mono-phonically.
That the Trax Hero could handle a pair of Polymer Audio Research MKS-X, all 365 lbs x2 is heroic.
From the front we are reminded of the Ferguson Hill. It's FH007 ($495) system includes an integrated amplifier of similar looks to the Thrax Hero, while it's FH001 is reminiscent of the Thrax front.

We've already covered the AKG 3003 in-ear headphone at Hi Fi Art. The Thrax Hero would likely make an excellent company.
