Interesting and Odd

Here's an interesting and yet odd picture, taken from HiFiPig.

McSweenies is a publishing company founded in San Francisco in 1998. When one sees the name, however, one thinks of Sweeney Todd, aka Benjamin Barker, as portrayed by Tod Slaughter, 1936.

To the left, we see the corrugated cup, likely an 8 oz variety. The lid is black, and may be a Viora. More commonly, you would see a Solo Traveler.

We like the corrugated cardboard full-cover of the coffee cup style sleeve ourselves, as it is attractive, and fits well with a $3 cup of Joe.

What is odd, we must say is the device, pictured on the hard-covered and more than bumped copy of McSweenie's 39.

It looks almost automotive, from it's bottom, although it's not chrome, but chromed plastic. The most part is covered by black acoustic cloth, and a thin layer, at the top is rounded, in plastic. There's a nice shine, at the upper-right.
