Ikea
The average Ikea store is about 300,000 square feet (27,871 square meters) in size. It was founded in 1943 by a 17 year old. Now this 17 year old was Swedish (readers will know Sweden through our Swedish Fly Girls post), and unfortunately, we discover, male. He did well.
Ikea stores in Canada are now up to 469,694 sq ft (Montreal), which almost doubles the amount of products available to take home at any time. Let's see. The new store will also offer customers 1407 parking spots (sweet), 600 seats in the restaurant, 48 cash lanes, 54 inspirational room settings and 2 full home settings.
Good numbers.
