Just under 2" thick, and 40" (3'4") deep 73" (6'1") in width, you can stand on it, and jump, and it's all-right.
That said, it is too small to allow use of the KEF X300. That army of Spartans inside a speaker would require proper stand-mount positioning to the rear of the desk (a further two') to be useful. At roughly 8' and 3' out, from the side, it sounds all-right, like the MM-1. To use the KEF X300A properly, you'll need a 5'5" foot deep desktop.
The typical desk will require the same sort of positioning (stand-mount) to allow use of the X300A and still allow desk-use.
We have no speakers on our desk, presently, though we purchased a lovely pair of Teac S300 NEO speakers in cherry for review. www.teac.com
