As the Focal Grande Utopia is our favorite loudspeaker, we award our "Grand Utopia" award this year to the only apartment which we would choose over our present location.
We had a long two years, similar to the process which we used to arrive at our present Hi Fi Art apartment.
In this, we looked at around 50 units in between $1M and $10M CDN retail.
We also looked online to the best listings, price not an object.
We wanted a place we would like to invite guests into, and not feel embarrassed. Something we would not be able to easily give away. Something that would be a pleasure to invite guests into. Somewhere we would feel at peace. And well.
There were a few great units which were unfortunately not available by the time we were booked to see them. Units of lower-prices, yet in our expressed range. By great, I mean modest in size, but fully and richly laid out and completely furnished to our individual developed, appreciative taste.
It was a good objective. We utilized Vancouver's very best realtors. Saw the best that was on market during this time.
As we hit 50 units, we closed the process, and continued to look ourselves using our own technique. We found two units that were at a world-appreciative level.
Now it is our pleasure to show and recommend that which we appreciate that is the best available. That is, the best apartment product on the market today.
We have a profound interest in full-service residential and commercial real-estate, and do not hesitate in recommending this product.
We do not indulge in fantasy, and thus can only recommend what we
fully comprehend, in terms of practicality. Those wishing a penthouse above the $1B level will
have to look to an architecture firm of such capricious capability.
We instead suggest the reader see what they can obtain at Acqualina for a residence. Even the non-penthouses have generous proportions, suitable for music.

Those acquiring the top penthouse (our recommendation), may well choose another lower-unit for audio, should they wish a private location for Focal's Grande Utopia III .
