Hide The Ferrari

Testarino in your stable?

There is some research you will see that we conducted in the following story:

We went to Blue Star Motors and checked out the Ferrari 340. The body shape was almost beautiful. There was clearly something to it. We asked, and it wasn't a Scuderia. We saw one, previously in Blue and White.

In the light, we almost detected a undertone of Orange in the Red Paint. It was a gorgeous paint. Great paint job.

Returning the next day, we noted it was indeed a Ferrari Red.

The best thing to see was a decent cable. Like in New York, where you may find parking too expensive ($1M per spot), in Yaletown people often use a lift to park their two cars - say their Land-rover Discovery and their Porsche  911 - we think this is stupid!

The price was just right: $169,000.00 CDN. A 69 for one! Perfect...

It had bucket seats. Too small. Awesome. We would at least have something to fit ourselves in.

On raising the car, Rob saw that it was well cut.

We did not like that the Ferrari has no pleasing shape on the bottom surface - no curves like a Honda or a Toyota - no wood for hitting curbs like a BAC Mono.

All the money in a Ferrari is clearly in:

1) The Engine
2) The Driving Technology

We asked, and it would be lovely, if any aftermarket company could come up with aftermarket replacement parts for the Ferrari 430.

At least Titanium, to replace each part in plastic:

o Platinum Plate
o Rumethium Plate
o Palladium

The increase in cost, for the Ferrari owner would be minimal. We figured an increase of the difference between $400,000.00 CDN and $169,000.00 CDN to be marginal: $231,000.00 CDN.
