Like the Bevridge Audio Model 2, the Tannoy Definition DC 10 Ti look
to be a good, but not great loudspeaker. You'll see the Bevridge
familiarity at the back of the Tannoy, although it's of course not an
electrostatic job. My first thought seeing the DC10 (great name) spec
was that "oh, it's not much better in the bass (30 Hz) than the PSB
Stratus Gold." Oh ok. That said, the Tannoy DC 10 Ti's are beautiful
loudspeakers. They have a better 20 KHz in the treble than the Bevridge
Model 2. Their cabinets, I would say almost compete the Mirage OMD-15's
in having a wonderfully fine gloss, and have a nice staunch look like
the Davis Acoustics MV-1 Lautsphrecker of France.
Well, what to say. Tannoy have always made, first and foremost, loudspeakers for the home. Their name is liberally synonymous for loudspeaker, especially in the UK. Their larger loudspeakers, like the Kingdom Royal and the Prestige Westminster GR are well-regarded (and reviewed), but fit mostly for the larger home.
