Classé Sigma SSP Stereo Surround Sound Preamp / Processor

The Classé SSP is one curious device. It is 2015. Why does it do 24/192? It has an advertised bandwith of 8 Hz - 200 kHz +/ < 1 dB, via stereo digital bypass. 8 Hz - 20 kHz +/- < 0.5 dB, otherwise. Channel balance, better than 0.05 dB. Why the artificial 8?

Why does Classe feel you would be using a better analogue (frequency) digital source than via the USB? It is 2015. The 24/192 capability is confusing. Madrigal released the Proceed AVP 2 ($6,495.00 USD) in 2002, and it, like the Mark Levinson #40 Media Console ($30,000.00 USD) of ... was 24/192. That is thirteen years, and still the same digital (maximum) specification.

This question is, why do they feel it is supportedly necessary to handle 200 kHz - on the analogue side -, and yet only 192 (96 kHz), on the digital.

Ok. It is a stupid screen. A bit like a Commodore VIC 13.

It is also confusing why they arbitrarily set 8 Hz as their low-order bass specification. Their 802 D3 hits 17 Hz. Many speakers go lower. How about +0?
